Sorry, maybe this blog is no longer available

Got attention? Well. I’ll explain with details. As my personal blog this is, I’ve taken the decision to not write in Spanish anymore. This decision has three grounds:

Improve my english skills. I’ve been studying the language of Shakespeare more than 15 years, and what I got? nothing.

Open my mind, and my world. As you know, there are only four or five millions of people across the world. This is the reason you met the same people always. I want to meet more people. So I’ve to expand my limits. Discover others cultures.

The third is a little bit different. Last Months, I’ve discovered there are much people following me, people in the real world, people that, actually, don’t help me growing up -in a philosophical sense-, so, I’m not really sure the things I do help them. I don’t know if I’m really giving some valuable stuff, so if they need to improve their english language skills to follow me, it will be a win-win relationship. Also, some people don’t read me because I write in spanish -and they don’t speak spanish :) -.

Obviously, there are more reasons, and will be great if this explanation isn’t it very cryptic for you.

So, actually, I’m burning my boats. Will be glad if you stay here anyway. Otherwise, thank you for your attention the last three months.

Stay tuned.

P.S.: You can comment in your native language, as usually was, and in my near objectives is continue to be a Spanish speaker guy.

Wow. Crazy stuff. I was just scared your feed wasnt upgrading for a while.

Ok, maybe i’ll need to subscribe again, as the blog is clearly alive (and kicking).

That being said, i respect your choice (yep, even if i dont, there’s nothing i can do) but i’m not sure i catch the idea.

I mean, if you wanna improve your english, that’s all. But as a freelance worker (maybe not now, but i think i know you enough to know you’ll have new projects sooner than later): does english really help you and your project? where’s your market? who do you trade with? who do you work with? american people? londoners?

I cant say writing in english is a bad choice. Choices are whatever we want’em to be. But i’m not sure about really getting more people following you ’cause of the language you write with. Really, maybe it’s me, but i dont get it.

    The most important phrase is:

“Also, some people don’t read me because I write in spanish -and they don’t speak spanish”

I dont think you get more readers than you lose, not even thinking in your colleages. For the rest of the reasons, i’m sure they are good reasons and you’re right. But i’m scared this one really had a too-big weight in your decission.

hmmm… that’s all. I’d like to meet you when i’m around seville. And dont be scared, i’ll keep reading you :)
